This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and take ownership of the logistics operation, leading a team of drivers and logistics professionals while driving service, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the Logistics and Driving teams.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, training and performance.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and on-time delivery performance.
- Oversee route planning, resource allocation and operational scheduling.
- Manage fleet standards, vehicle compliance and health & safety requirements.
- Monitor and improve key logistics KPIs.
- Identify and implement process improvements across the operation.
- Build strong working relationships across the wider business to enhance operational performance.
About You
- Proven experience within Logistics, Transport or Distribution Management.
- Previous experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of route planning, fleet management and operational logistics.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the operation.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Transport, FMCG, food manufacturing or distribution experience would be advantageous.
