Alexander Steele is partnering with a leading Food Manufacturing business based in Kent, who are looking to hire a Production Shift Supervisor. You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team on shift to meet production, quality, and safety targets while driving continuous improvement on the line.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage a production team to meet daily output and quality targets
- Ensure health & safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are followed at all times
- Monitor team performance and support individual development plans
- Maintain clear and effective communication during and between shifts
- Support shift KPI delivery across efficiency, waste, quality, and attendance
- Investigate non-conformances and contribute to performance reviews and daily meetings
- Maintain accurate production records and shift documentation
- Coordinate smooth shift handovers
- Raise people-related concerns with management and HR as required
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or similar environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Comfortable working with performance metrics and production targets
- Basic IT and reporting skills
- Flexible approach and a hands-on, proactive attitude
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
