We’re working exclusively with an innovative food group that is looking for a commercially minded Senior NPD Technologist to help drive the development of innovative food products from concept to launch. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly. You’ll work at the centre of product creation including shaping concepts, guiding development, and ensuring products are delivered on time, to brief, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role with real influence over what reaches the market.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of new and existing food products, from early concept through to launch
- Create and interpret product briefs, ensuring clear direction across internal and external teams
- Develop, review, and refine product formulations with a focus on quality, performance, and cost
- Manage product samples, tastings, and feedback loops to support decision-making
- Track projects against timelines and critical paths, identifying risks and resolving issues early
- Coordinate cross-functional input from commercial, technical, design, and supply partners
- Support factory trials, product testing, and readiness for scale-up
- Prepare clear, persuasive presentations to communicate product ideas and progress
- Maintain accurate project documentation and trackers
- Contribute to ongoing product strategy and pipeline planning
About you
- Experience working in food product development, product management, or a related role and confident managing multiple projects at different stages of development
- Strong understanding of food formulation and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage stakeholders
