About the Role
We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturing business in South Lanarkshire who are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Engineer to their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, growing company where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving site performance.
The successful candidate will work as part of the nightshift engineering team on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern , ensuring production runs smoothly by responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across all machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reactive and proactive maintenance support across production lines and utilities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
- Support and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Work closely with production and technical teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Uphold health & safety standards at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
About You
- Time-served engineer with both mechanical and electrical skills (multi-skilled).
- Experience working within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment .
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, packaging, and process equipment desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering results on shift.
