I am recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing client in the Aberdeenshire area. This is a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety, and productivity within their operations.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
  • 30 days of holiday (increasing with service).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance requirements and improve operational processes.
  • Train team members on best practices for maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Perform high-quality welding tasks as required, applying mechanical knowledge.
  • Read and interpret schematics to diagnose equipment malfunctions effectively.
  • Assemble, install, reposition, and test machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Carry out planned preventative inspections and maintenance as per schedule, documenting outcomes.
  • Prioritise workload to support production while ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
