A successful international food business is seeking an Account Manager to join their sales team. The role involves selling to existing customers, mainly via telephone, and developing and managing customer portfolios in the UK and Europe. The candidate will proactively develop new customers in new geographical markets while liaising with colleagues regarding logistics, harvesting plans, and industry quality schemes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
- Support and follow up on projects and evaluations.
- Ensure deadlines are always met.
- Address any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner.
- Negotiate with clients as required.
- Expand relationships and sales in the existing customer base.
- Assist the team in developing the customer base through sales activities.
- Complete administrative work as required.
- Support the company's presence at exhibitions.
- Perform any other related duties as instructed by your Line Manager.
Experience Required:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong network of industry contacts.
