We are seeking an effective and hands‐on Front Line Manager to support a food manufacturing operation in South Lanarkshire. You will play a key role in leading a production team, ensuring safe, efficient and high‐quality output in a fast‐paced FMCG environment.
About the Role:
The Production Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily production performance, maintaining standards, and leading a motivated team. You will drive safe working practices, product quality, and consistent execution of processes whilst contributing to continuous improvement across your area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and support a production team to meet performance targets.
- Promote and uphold the company's values, behaviours and site standards.
- Assist with workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Manage daily routines using Leader Standard Work.
- Participate in Short Interval Control (SIC) meetings to drive output.
- Champion Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality compliance.
- Raise hazards and near misses and support investigation processes.
- Oversee training for new starters and monitor competency progress.
- Support performance management, time and attendance and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and maintain efficient, safe line operations.
- Communicate clearly through briefs, huddles and effective shift handovers.
- Contribute to improvement activities, including A3 initiatives and changeovers.
Requirements:
- Experience in a team leader or supervisory role within manufacturing.
- Strong communication and people‐management skills.
- Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and quality procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and drive continuous improvement.
- Flexible, proactive and committed to achieving high standards.
