Alexander Steele is delighted to be partnering once again with a highly regarded manufacturer supplying an extensive product portfolio to the UK food industry. Following a period of significant growth, the business is now seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their at their Head Office in Bedfordshire.

The Role:

As HR Manager, you will lead and develop a skilled HR team, supporting the full employee lifecycle while ensuring alignment between people strategy and business objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on talent management, succession planning, and workforce development
  • Making informed, evidence-based decisions that drive business outcomes
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Reviewing and enhancing HR policies and procedures to support performance and engagement
  • Managing complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, and redundancies
  • Championing a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective engagement strategies
  • Driving the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) agenda

The Candidate:

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on HR professional with proven experience in a senior HR role. You will ideally bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager
  • CIPD qualification
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Change management expertise
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Confident HR systems knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills
