Health and Safety Manager

Alexander Steele is working with a leading food manufacturing business in Leicestershire. Our client is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join the fast-paced operations team. The role holder will ensure the site remains compliant with all aspects of the company H&S policy and associated procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Deliver strategies to ensure achievement of the H&S objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
  • Provide professional leadership, support, and development to team members.
  • To drive continuous improvement in departmental costs.

Background Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a dynamic and broad manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH Certification essential/Diploma would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong track record of leading and motivating teams in previous positions.
  • Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
