Up to £90,000 + car + bonus + long-term incentive plan
I'm partnering with a £35M-turnover food retail business with an established store network across the North of England to appoint a Head of Retail.
This is a pivotal leadership appointment and a genuine No. 2 to the Managing Director, an opportunity to influence the wider business, shape its future direction and make a tangible commercial impact.
The opportunity:
- Lead and develop a multi-site retail operation across the North of England.
- Take ownership of retail performance, operational standards and the customer experience.
- Influence buying and commercial services, with around £20M of annual stock purchasing.
- Work closely with the MD on business strategy, commercial performance and growth.
- Bring retail operations, buying and supply chain together to improve performance and profitability.
Who I'm looking for:
An experienced food retail leader with a strong store-facing operational background, combined with commercial buying and supply chain exposure.
But this role needs more than someone who can maintain the status quo.
I'm looking for an agitator and change-maker — someone who challenges constructively, wins hearts and minds, develops people and turns ideas into action.
You’ll need the credibility to influence at every level, the commercial instinct to make sound decisions and the leadership presence to bring people with you.
Location: Ideally based in Greater Manchester, with responsibility for stores across the North of England.
Package: Up to £90k + car + bonus + long-term incentive plan.
