As part of the development plan, we are looking for a Multiskilled Engineer. Someone who is dynamic, enthusiastic, confident and can take initiative, who can work independently and as part of a team. Must have a ‘can do’ attitude and a proven track record.
The Role
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your prime areas of responsibility will be:
- Maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Factory electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Provide mechanical support to all factory machines, conveyors, labellers, scales, and process equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and carry out PPM and breakdown response.
- Work closely with all departments to minimise downtime.
- Site service and facilities maintenance when required.
- Fault diagnostics and rectification.
- Breakdown Response.
- Achieve set targets, both individual and team.
- Complete all the necessary documentation for the Engineering department.
- Keen eye for detail and strong experience in preventative maintenance.
- Perform all activities in accordance with Food, Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure an effective handover between shifts.
- To observe, recognise and report component defects and impending failures.
- Carry out machine adjustments and changeover.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatics, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes etc.
- Electrical Qualifications Level 3, 18th edition an advantage.
- Process plant and filler/packaging machinery experience desirable as well as experience in factory environment.
- HMI working knowledge an advantage.
