Alex ander Steele are working with a leading food manufacturer in Hertfordshire to appoint an Factory Technical Manager. This is a key, site-based leadership role with full responsibility for driving quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across a fast-paced food manufacturing operation. On Offer Salary circa £55,000 + bonus 33 days holiday Company pension Healthcare options Exciting learning and career development opportunities Key Accountabilities Management of the site QMA, ensuring it remains compliant with customer, legal, and industry requirements Plan, manage, and host internal and external audits, ensuring actions are completed effectively and on time Maintain robust standards in line with GMP, BRC, and relevant food safety frameworks Work cross functionally across the site to embed quality and food safety principles throughout manufacturing activities Manage customer complaint investigations, delivering thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions Ensure technical records, procedures, and performance data are accurate, current, and effectively used Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, food safety, and compliance culture across the site Candidate Requirements A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality or Technical Management position within a food manufacturing environment A Food Science degree or equivalent qualification is highly desirable HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certification (or higher) Strong, hands on knowledge of BRC standards with proven experience working to UK retailer requirements Confident in applying technical standards in a fast-paced, site-based manufacturing setting
