Engineering Supervisor – Food Manufacturing
Location: Westlea, County Durham

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineer to step into a supervisory role with a well-established food manufacturer that offers a highly competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and motivate a team of engineers to deliver effective maintenance and engineering solutions.
- Oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and H&S teams to meet site objectives.
- Support the development and training of engineering staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and health & safety requirements.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer within food manufacturing or a similar fast-paced FMCG environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience would be highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
