A well-established multi-site food manufacturer is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their Bedfordshire manufacturing operation. The business has seen significant growth, leading to the need for a high-calibre individual with full site maintenance responsibility at both day-to-day and long-term strategic levels.
This role is part of a dynamic leadership team, guiding the business through an exciting period of growth and expansion. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on this role, evolve and establish the best ways of working, and develop high maintenance engineering standards.
The Candidate
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Apprenticeship and/or Engineering Technical Qualification Level 3 or above (applicants with relevant experience without formal qualifications but a good understanding of BRC and DSEAR will be considered).
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in engineering leadership within manufacturing (FMCG sector/extrusion experience desirable).
- Experience in developing and implementing PPM and improvement strategies.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and developing team capability.
- Self-starter who demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong attention to detail, resilience, and flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with independent and rational decision-making skills.
