A highly successful food manufacturing business is currently looking to appoint their next Site Operations Manager. The Site Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, ensuring production, logistics and support functions work together effectively to deliver consistent results. The role exists to stabilise, improve and integrate the factory operation over time by building capability, strengthening systems and driving performance across all areas.
In the short term, this will involve getting into the detail to understand and resolve operational challenges. Over time, success in the role is defined by improving how the operation works so that performance becomes consistent, predictable and less dependent on individuals.
- Own and improve end-to-end operational performance across production and logistics, ensuring output and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Own and continuously improve product quality standards, ensuring the operation consistently meets all food safety and compliance requirements.
- Own delivery of production output and OTIF performance across all shifts that delivers excellent customer outcomes.
- Ensure labour is structured, deployed and managed effectively to deliver operational performance at the right cost.
- Ensure audit readiness and consistent performance under pressure.
- Diagnose root causes of performance issues and implement sustainable fixes.
- Drive consistency of performance across day, night and weekend operations.
More than 10 years’ senior leadership experience within the food manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, fire and health & safety standards. ‘Hands on’ leadership qualities. Forward-thinking and innovative, always seeking creative solutions to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
