An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Existing Product Development Technologist to join a well-established and fast-paced food manufacturing business within their growing NPD team.
This role is ideal for someone with previous food manufacturing or product development experience who enjoys the technical and operational side of NPD and thrives in a fast-moving factory environment.
You’ll play a key role in delivering cost-saving initiatives, ingredient changes, product improvements and operational projects across multiple manufacturing sites, working closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, Technical and Engineering.
- Supporting existing product development and continuous improvement projects
- Conducting kitchen work, factory trials and first productions
- Capturing trial data, process settings and making recommendations for improvements
- Working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to target
Previous experience within NPD, EPD or food manufacturing is required. A Food Science/Food Technology degree is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. A hands-on approach and comfort working within factory and kitchen environments are necessary. A good understanding of food manufacturing processes and technical documentation is important. Bakery or FMCG experience would be advantageous.
