A established food manufacturing business in East Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Commercial Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate has worked in a versatile sales role covering a wide range of tasks across the business and cross collaborating across different departments. The position offers a clear progression pathway to becoming an SLT member and includes managing 3x direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers to ensure high service levels and maximise commercial returns.
  • Lead daily trading activities, negotiating prices, volumes and contracts to optimise profitability.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities across regional, national and cutting markets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer data to inform pricing and growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with production, planning and logistics teams to align sales with operational capacity and minimise waste.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee credit control within the sales function, liaising with finance to ensure accurate invoicing and on-time payments.
  • Maintain effective stock management and coordinate with planning to resolve potential shortages or production constraints.

On Offer

  • Circa £45,000 per annum (with flexibility for the right candidate).
  • Monday to Friday – office hours.
  • 33 days annual leave.
