We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring high levels of equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, supporting a 24/7 production operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all engineering activities across the site, including maintenance, projects, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability and performance.
  • Ensure delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Operations to optimise line efficiency, minimise downtime, and improve OEE.
  • Deliver CAPEX projects aligned to business needs, on time and within budget.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on KPIs, driving performance improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
  • Lead site audits and maintain adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Manage and develop a multi-skilled engineering team, building capability and performance.
  • Oversee contractors, service providers, and site services.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven engineering leadership experience within an FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and asset care.
  • Experience delivering CAPEX projects and managing engineering budgets.
  • Track record of improving OEE, reducing downtime, and delivering KPIs.
  • Strong people management and team development capability.
  • Effective communicator, able to work across all levels of the organisation.
