Supply Planner

Supply Planner Surrey (Office Based) Up to £40,000 DOE Alexander Steele are delighted to be supporting a food distribution business in the search for a Supply Planner to join their Procurement team. This role is responsible for ensuring product availability across a diverse product portfolio by converting forecasts and customer demand into effective supply plans and purchase orders. You will work closely with suppliers to manage stock levels, track deliveries, and minimise supply risks while maintaining accurate inventory data. Key Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders based on forecasts, demand and supplier lead times. Monitor stock levels, product availability and inventory performance. Build strong supplier relationships, tracking orders and resolving delays or supply issues. Identify and communicate potential shortages, excess stock and supply chain risks. Maintain accurate planning, purchasing and inventory data within company systems. Work closely with Sales, Operations and Logistics teams to ensure supply plans align with business requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning, purchasing and stock management processes. About You Experience in supply planning, purchasing, procurement, inventory control or a similar supply chain role. Strong organisational and analytical skills with experience using Excel and ERP systems. Excellent communication skills and confidence managing supplier relationships. Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail. Food, FMCG or import/export experience would be advantageous but is not essential. TPBN1_UKTJ
