6:00 to 6:00 Alexander Steele are delighted to be working with a hugely successful food manufacturing business who are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-invested manufacturing site where you'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The business offers a proactive engineering environment with ongoing investment in machinery, technology, and site development.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults. Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects. Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. Complete maintenance records and CMMS updates accurately. Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimise performance. Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
Apprentice-trained Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrician, or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience. Multi-skilled engineering background within a manufacturing environment. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Experience of PPM and breakdown maintenance. Good understanding of health & safety requirements. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organisational skills. What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
