Nightshift Despatch Supervisor in Fife, Scotland

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00pm - 4:30am
  • Friday: 6:00pm - 2:30am

About the Role

A hands-on supervisory role responsible for the smooth running of nightshift despatch operations, ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed and prepared for on-time delivery. Leading a small team, you will drive performance, maintain service levels, and ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the nightshift despatch operation to meet customer service and delivery targets.
  • Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, checked and prepared for dispatch.
  • Manage shift priorities and resolve day-to-day operational issues to maintain service levels.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Liaise closely with production and transport teams to ensure efficient workflow and product availability.
  • Monitor team performance, support training activities and promote a positive team culture.
  • Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within a despatch, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams in a fast-paced operation.
  • Strong organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of health & safety, food safety and quality standards.
