Salary: £32,000 Monday - Friday (6am - 4pm) Alexander Steele are supporting a Global manufacturing business who are seeking a Hygiene Team Leader to lead and support the hygiene team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and GMP across the site.

Ensure cleaning schedules are completed effectively, hygiene procedures are followed, and team members work safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and support hygiene operatives during daily activities.

Ensure cleaning schedules and hygiene standards are maintained across the site.

Monitor compliance with food safety, GMP, quality, and health & safety requirements.

Conduct hygiene inspections, audits, and equipment checks.

Complete hygiene records and documentation accurately.

Report and escalate any hygiene, food safety, or safety concerns.

Support training and development of hygiene team members.

Monitor hygiene stock levels and assist with replenishment orders.

Carry out cleaning tasks as required.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and deputise for the Hygiene Manager when required.

Skills & Experience Experience in a hygiene, food manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.

Good understanding of GMP, food safety, and health & safety requirements.

Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
