We are AMS, a global total workforce solutions firm that enables organisations to thrive in an age of constant change by building, re-shaping, and optimising workforces. Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. On behalf of this organisation, AMS is looking for a UX Service Designer for an initial 3-month contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a Service Designer to assess the value of integrating service design into our strategic transformation programme. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to build on extensive preparatory work, workshops, and insights while shaping the future of client onboarding. You will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic transformation programme, focused on operational efficiencies and enhancing the client experience. Specifically, you will work on the onboarding journey—from prospect identification to a client's first 90 days onboard.

As a UX Service Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging existing insights to elevate service design efforts and drive tangible improvements.
  • Delivering incremental value by defining phases of impact over time.
  • Assessing the long-term need for service design within the organisation.
  • Producing high-quality outputs, including journey maps, persona developments, and Figma-based product mockups.
  • Documenting work to a high standard, addressing previous gaps in documentation quality.
  • Balancing luxury experience with efficiency, challenging the status quo where necessary.

What we require from the Candidate:

  • Proficiency in Figma for creating and refining design solutions.
  • Day-to-day collaboration with CRM platform teams and the business team responsible for the onboarding journey.
  • Engaging in workshops and working closely with key stakeholders.

  • High-level documentation skills to improve record-keeping and process clarity.
