Solution Analyst for a 6 month contract based in London with remote work available (Hybrid).
Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced
Solution Analyst to play a key role in the transformation of our Risk & Controls Assessment (RCSA) capability.
This position will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams and technology functions, translating requirements into scalable solution designs, data models, integration specifications and implementation ready deliverables.
Working within a major transformation programme, you will help shape a connected risk ecosystem and support the evolution towards an always on risk profile through enhanced data, automation and reporting capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems, designing future state solutions and working closely with architects, engineers and product teams.
What you'll do
- Translate business requirements and user stories into detailed solution designs and technical specifications.
- Define and document data models, data mappings and relationships across risk, controls, events, issues, appetite, scenarios and business entities.
- Analyse and design system integrations, APIs and end-to-end data flows across multiple platforms.
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering teams to shape scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Assess the impact of change on reporting, data products and downstream business processes.
- Support workflow automation initiatives and future AI-enabled capabilities.
- Contribute to testing, defect management and implementation readiness activities.
- Identify technical dependencies, risks and design considerations early in the delivery life cycle.
- Work within Agile delivery teams and actively participate in sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement sessions.
- Provide insight-led recommendations using data analysis to support business decision making.
The skills you'll need
- Proven experience as a Solution Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
- Experience within Risk, Controls, Operational Risk, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Financial Services environments.
- Strong background in solution design and requirements translation.
- Experience with data modelling, data mapping and data analysis.
- Knowledge of API design, system integrations and enterprise data flows.
- Experience working across business and technology teams to deliver complex change initiatives.
- Understanding of workflow automation and business process improvement.
- Agile delivery experience, including user stories, sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Exposure to Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) frameworks and processes.
