About the Role
As a Recruiter/Senior Recruiter, you will assist Hiring Managers in filling open positions by offering expert guidance and ensuring quality throughout the recruitment process. You will be responsible for creating and delivering excellent recruitment services and following the established service agreements. This role requires the use of recruitment technology tools and managing end‑to‑end processes. For Nationwide roles you’ll engage directly with the client where you will give expert advice and manage their expectations at every stage of the hiring process.
Key Accountabilities
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from briefing through to offer and onboarding.
- Partnering closely with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and align recruitment activity to business priorities.
- Leading role briefings and shaping tailored sourcing approaches to attract the right talent.
- Delivering against multiple vacancies, ensuring consistent progress and high-quality outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the hiring process.
- Creating and maintaining engaged candidate pipelines, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Using data and reporting to track progress, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Managing expectations and navigating challenges confidently to keep processes on track.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a joined‑up and consistent approach to delivery.
- Staying organised and proactive, effectively managing workloads and competing priorities.
- Attending site regularly to maintain visibility and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as an established Recruiter, managing the full recruitment lifecycle across permanent hiring (360 experience is a plus).
- Strong background recruiting across professional and technical roles, ensuring candidate progression and compliance.
- Experience within financial services, with an understanding of the sector’s pace, compliance requirements, and talent expectations.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing hiring decisions and providing strategic advice.
- Experience leading vacancy consultations, advising on sourcing strategies, DEI considerations, realistic skill profiles, and market conditions.
- Confidence using data and insights to guide hiring managers and shape recruitment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach, challenge, and influence at all levels.
- Confidence handling challenging conversations and managing expectations professionally.
- Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client site once per week to support stakeholder engagement and visibility.
