Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The bank's expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a SAS Developer (Credit Risk and Banking) for a 9-month contract based in Manchester or Edinburgh (hybrid, 2 times per week in the office).
Purpose of the Role: As SAS Developer (AWS) you will support our client's transition to a new platform and facilitate the data migration. You will work on maintaining and developing SAS reports while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Migrate existing processes and data to a new platform.
- Maintain and develop SAS reports to support internal and external regulatory reporting.
- Redevelop existing SAS reports on AWS in alignment with our technology strategy.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in regulatory submissions.
- Produce external regulatory returns with clear audit trails and analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams and senior stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
What we require from the candidate:
- Banking experience is essential.
- Strong SAS and AWS expertise.
- Knowledge of credit risk and banking products.
- Experience in change management and stakeholder management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
