This role is based on a hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the client site in Derby 3 days per week, with flexibility to increase on-site presence up to 5 days per week when business needs require. The role also involves occasional UK travel, with locations ranging from Glasgow to Bristol. Travel may include overnight stays and periods of up to one full working week at a time, depending on business requirements.
What does a “day in the life” of my new team look like? You’ll work onsite with Rolls-Royce based in Derby, partnering with Senior Stakeholders, Attraction Teams and other organisations such as Universities on Emerging Talent Campaigns. With a clear focus on Early Careers Recruitment, you’ll support a specified business area covering seasonal recruitment supporting all campaigns and programmes. You’ll manage candidates through a selection process to agreed timelines in a fast-paced client facing environment.
Who will I be working with? Within Early Careers, you’ll partner with Talent Attraction Teams and Senior Stakeholders within the client to deliver these projects, working and building relationships with stakeholders in third party organisations such as governing bodies and universities to ensure your pool of candidates remains healthy.
Key AccountabilitiesWhat you’ll be doing:
- Full accountability for the management of the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a consistent service through close collaboration with the Sourcing, Administration and Regional recruitment teams.
- Partnering with the business, Rolls-Royce Staffing and HR to review and define resourcing needs and develop recruitment strategies to meet short, medium- and long-term client requirements.
- Building stakeholder relationships and making them aware of initiatives/products available within AMS (Coaching platform, AMS one etc).
- Working with the Brand & Attraction Manager to support ECR attraction activities.
- Working with the Campus and Attraction team to assist in facilitating and attending events to promote the clients emerging talent.
- Creation of Evergreen & Live requisitions and assigning Recruiter & Sourcer accordingly.
- End-to-end oversight of the candidate journey through the recruitment cycle, flagging any issues accordingly.
- Facilitating assessment centres and supporting the business in hiring decisions (Assessor brief and wash up)- including off-site F2F AC’s with travel/overnight stay.
- Specific Early Career Assessor Training sessions.
- Assisting with organisation and facilitation on F2F Assessment Centres.
- Candidate care calls prior to Assessment Centre.
- Candidate Post offer calls after verbal accept initiated on ECR admin report (within 7 days).
- Collate Governance deck and manage governance board meetings.
- Organise and facilitate Apprentice optional virtual drop in centre.
- Support facilitation of Meet and Engage events with Campus Recruiter.
- Collation of details for candidates onboarding (work boots and work wear details etc).
- Liaising with Onboarding Partners.
- Liaising with RR Immigration Lead for Visa sponsorship.
- Monitoring the daily ECR report from Resource admin and chasing candidates sitting at Written offer accepted after 7 days and chasing documents.
- Attend weekly admin calls and follow up on items required from admin for onboarding.
- Supporting external vetting checks as part of the business requirements (SUBS).
- Liaise with admin and HM to arrange start dates for Grad Directs and ensure information sent to admin for Security induction booking.
- Assisting with organisation and facilitating on F2F and Virtual keep in touch sessions.
- Manage projects as distributed by Line managers.
Must haves:
- Track record of delivering the end-to-end Early Careers recruitment campaigns and targeted solutions.
- Extensive experience of the Early Careers and Campus market and knowledge of working with third parties in this environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK, including staying overnight for periods of up to one week when required.
- Ability to liaise with and influence all levels of management to agree a change of direction or new process.
- Experience of developing and delivering recruitment strategies and processes to improve outcomes (e.g. decreased time to hire, increased quality of hire).
- Experience working in a complex matrix environment.
