Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The bank's expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Product Designer for a 6 Month contract based in London.
Purpose of the Role: You will collaborate with an experienced team to shape the user experience of our mobile app. This includes creating and designing features and experiences, as well as optimising the UX and UI to provide exceptional, user-friendly experiences for our customers.
As a Product Designer you will be responsible for:
- Creating high-quality design outputs including concepts, user journeys, wireframes, UI flows, and detailed UI designs across iOS and Android platforms.
- Accountability for timely and reliable delivery of your work - making sure your designs are understood and documented in the right way for delivery.
- Presenting clearly design concepts and communicate your work to team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Planning independently, facilitate, and execute research activities, with the support of the design and research teams when necessary.
- Developing interactive prototypes and conduct usability research to iterate and refine designs.
- Working closely with product, engineering, brand, and content teams to align on goals and execution.
What we require from the candidate:
- Experience designing high-impact mobile applications (iOS and Android), ideally in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work, from concept to shipped product.
- Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, Protopie, etc.).
- Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, design systems, and accessibility standards.
- Exceptional visual design skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead design initiatives and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills - you can clearly articulate design decisions and rally teams around a shared vision.
- Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing.
