On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are now looking for a Network Specialist for a 3 month contract based in the bank\'s Edinburgh office with travel required to Glasgow, Newcastle, and Reigate offices.

About the Role:
Tesco IMS is embarking on a major infrastructure project to deploy a new network across multiple sites in Scotland and England. On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are looking for a Network Specialist to support the Infrastructure Architecture team and play a key role in building this network from the ground up.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys travel, and has a passion for network infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the installation and configuration of Cisco Meraki hardware across multiple sites being involved in the new infrastructure set-up from the beginning.
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure robust network performance.
- Liaise with vendors to manage access to comms rooms, and act as the on-site point of contact.
- Work closely with project managers and architects to ensure smooth rollout.
- Provide technical support during deployment.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Proven experience with LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Strong background in network validation, testing and documentation.
- Ability to interpret and implement technical network designs.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and late-night work.
Desirable criteria includes:
- Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware (beneficial but not essential)
Travel Requirements:
- Regular travel to offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Reigate)
- Must be available for weekly travel and short-notice deployments.
- Out-of-hours and Friday support required for Reigate.
