On behalf of Department for Education, we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer (Inside IR35) until 31/03/2027 based Remotely with occasional travel to the Sheffield office.

As a ServiceNow Developer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Work with development team to deliver improvements in COE's and implementation of Knowledge Centre in ServiceNow.
  • Promote the benefits of the development of the right elements of the platform across DfE service and delivery teams, to give value to the department.
  • Manage the technical development of the platform in line with the agreed policy, procedures, and process.
  • Meet the quality of the development capability within DfE; supporting the culture of continual service improvement supported by data, feedback, and industry standards.
  • Work with the Product Manager to identify the best development opportunities, automation, and work streams to promote best value to the department.

Essential:

  • Experience working in agile software development.
  • The ability to recognise potential for automation of processes. This will drive cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Modern coding and development standards, practices, and techniques. JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Integrations, automation and/or orchestration via workflows, scripting web services/APIs, and IntegrationHub.
  • Development process optimisation.

Desirable:

  • Previous public sector experience.
  • ServiceNow Certifications.
