We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer for a 7 Month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield. You will be joining the Intelligent Service Operations Project (ISOP), supporting its ongoing implementation. The role focuses on delivering business enhancements to the DWP Place offering within the department, helping to meet its strategic objectives. This is a ring fenced budget within TCS DWP Place for a dedicated ISOP development & delivery squad.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be part of a dynamic Product Delivery Unit (PDU), contributing to the development and configuration of the ServiceNow platform. You will work across multiple squads, supporting both business as usual and project workstreams, ensuring that solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with ITSM best practices.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Deliver new configurations and functionalities to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle and DWP Place roadmap.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the ServiceNow platform.
- Complete assigned stories and escalate blockers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers, feature teams and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain clear documentation.
- Ensure secure, performant configuration of ServiceNow products.
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
- Excellent understanding of core ServiceNow platform components including Service Portal, Workspaces, and UI Builder.
- Strong understanding of both client side (e.g. UI policies, client scripts) and Server Side functionality (e.g. Business Rules, APIs) within ServiceNow.
- Experience working in large scale organisations and/or Public Sector environments with ServiceNow implementations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across an enterprise tooling infrastructure.
- Experience building, configuring and implementing ServiceNow features and integrations.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change) and experience delivering within agile delivery frameworks.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS.
- ITIL Qualification or relevant experience/skills.
- Current ServiceNow platform Certification.
