On behalf of HSE, we are looking for a Network Specialist Inside IR35 for a 6 months contract based REMOTE. SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum, you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance.

As a Network Specialist, your main responsibilities will be:
- This post is a new vacancy in the Network & Telephony team, created to meet a short-term need to strengthen the internal team and help deliver specific elements of a challenging workload.
- We require an experienced network engineer backfill for an engineer in HSE's Networks & Telephony team who has been seconded to a major WAN replacement project.
- The role will involve queue management, 2nd and 3rd line incident and problem resolution, and request fulfilment.
- The role will also involve contributions to delivery of work packages connected to major and minor change initiatives and projects.
- The role will involve occasional travel to the candidate's nominated local office and less frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attendance at daily standup.
- Monitoring the Networks & Telephony team's Incident & Request queues.
- Resolving incidents, fulfilling requests, and updating customers.
- Contribution to delivery of work packages connected to major and minor changes.
Essential Skills & Criteria:
- CCNA.
- Working in Network & Telephony teams managing Incident and Request queues.
- Switch configuration and management (Cisco/Meraki desirable).
- Firewall configuration and management (Cisco/Palo Alto desirable).
- Experience managing telephony solutions.
