On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for an Enterprise Architect Inside IR35 for a 6 month contract based hybrid Bristol. SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will support the Corporate Services Modernisation programme through hands on ownership, development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture repository. Working primarily in BizzDesign, you will create and maintain ArchiMate models, BPMN process views and architecture artefacts that support decision making across business, application, data and technology domains.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Own the day-to-day development and maintenance of the CSM architecture repository in BizzDesign.
  • Create and maintain ArchiMate models, viewpoints, diagrams, catalogues and traceability links.
  • Produce and align BPMN process models with wider enterprise architecture content.
  • Perform repository quality assurance, housekeeping and version management activities.
  • Work with architects and stakeholders to gather, validate and align architecture information.
  • Support architecture governance through reporting, artefact management and design review outputs.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with BizzDesign.
  • Practical experience using ArchiMate to develop enterprise architecture models.
  • Experience creating and maintaining BPMN process models.
  • Knowledge of business, application, data, technology and integration architecture domains.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience maintaining data quality, standards and repository governance.

Desirable:

  • ArchiMate certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting architecture governance or design assurance.
  • Knowledge of Government Digital/Data standards or secure-by-design principles.
