On behalf of this organisation, AMS is looking for a Trading & Front Office Application Support Analyst for a 6-month contract based in London, Marylebone on a hybrid basis.
Purpose of the Role:
The Trading & Front Office Application Support Analyst will be part of a global support group responsible for managing the production of risk for the Credit, Rates & Complex trading desks daily. The role involves communication and support with developers, traders, middle office, and desk-aligned support teams, as an Application Support Analyst working from the trading floor.
As a Trading & Front Office Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for trading, providing first-class support to all users of the system in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining excellent relations with trading users to ensure their issues are resolved with regular contact.
- Understanding trading needs and actively working with traders on their issues.
- Liaising with developers to communicate issues raised by the business.
- Improving and maintaining a knowledge base regarding support issues and their resolution.
- Building a working knowledge of the systems and business area to provide high-level support.
- Collaborating with the global team to ensure adequate system support.
- Tracking issues effectively using ITIL-approved methodology (incidents, changes, requests, and problems).
- Preparing environments for releases and ensuring implementation and pre-production tests are conducted.
- Working collaboratively with Dev, BA, Staging, and Quant Research to ensure high platform availability.
- Assisting traders in understanding their Risk, P&L, and revenue drivers.
What we require from the Trading & Front Office Application Support Analyst:
- Experience in Trading Support (Financial Services environment).
- Rates Trading Business Knowledge.
- Understanding of Profit & Loss Calculations (including Optional Greeks - Delta/Gamma/Vega).
- Knowledge of Python (including pandas/numpy/scipy).
- Experience with ServiceNow (ITIL).
- Comfortable with large-scale libraries and interacting with different profiles (quants, IT, etc.).
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX Systems.
- SQL/Oracle and Excel proficiency.
