On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Bristol (hybrid) Job description - the role In this role, you will: Take full responsibility for the investigation, analysis, and documentation of safety alerts, incidents, and operational events related to in-service products. You will lead root cause investigations and implement containment and corrective actions where required. Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality technical reports that provide clear findings, recommendations, and compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and business requirements, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines. Participate in performance reviews and respond constructively to feedback from the supervising manager. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including specialists in areas such as structural integrity, component lifing, safety and reliability, performance engineering, and control systems, to solve complex technical problems and support product maturity. Who We're Looking For You will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, customer focus, and commitment to delivering quality engineering outcomes across a diverse range of gas turbine products and systems. You will possess: A strong commitment to safety, integrity, simplicity, and delivering meaningful results. These core behaviours are fundamental to how success is measured within the organisation. A degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering environment (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Controls, or a similar field). Alternative qualifications combined with suitable experience will also be considered. An understanding of gas turbine systems, their physical and functional characteristics, and the operational environment in which they are deployed. Previous experience with regulated industries and product support environments would be advantageous, although training will be provided. Strong technical and analytical problem-solving abilities, with a systems-thinking mindset and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams. Adaptability, self-motivation, and the confidence to lead technical investigations and drive issues through to resolution.
