On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled Inspector for a 12 month contract based in Derby. As a Skilled Inspector, you will be: Carrying out the inspection of aerospace engine components through the inward receiving process, ensuring all parts meet required standards and specifications. Verifying component documentation and accurately processing parts through SAP before releasing them into the workshop environment. Performing detailed visual inspections of engine components to identify defects, damage, or non-conformances. Using a range of measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometres and gauges, to assess component serviceability. Working in compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Experience and qualifications required for a Skilled Inspector: SAP experience is essential. A recognised time-served apprenticeship and Level 3 qualification within a relevant engineering discipline are essential. Previous inspection experience is required, ideally within aerospace, although candidates from other engineering or machining backgrounds will also be considered. Experience using inspection and measurement equipment, including verniers, micrometres and gauges. Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn component inspection processes through a structured training programme.
