Our Contingent Workforce Solution (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst for an initial 12 month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. The role is part-time and follows a hybrid model.

Purpose of the role:

This role will be pivotal in partnering with the Global Business Services (GBS) leadership teams to drive performance management across a major change program, ensuring the successful delivery of the approved business case.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the GBS business case leads to drive cost optimisation and benefit realisation. This includes analysis of the financials to provide insight to drive action.
  • Financial management of the business case to deliver financial commitments. Ensuring budgets, forecasts and actual results are captured and translated into business level plans. Pro-actively working to ensure optimal performance and achievement of business targets and strategy.
  • Ensuring the correct accounting treatment is applied to expenditure; an adequate audit trail is maintained for all postings and manage queries as appropriate with our auditors.
  • Supporting updates of the business case through the Investment Committee process, providing ad hoc reports, assessments or presentations as required.

This role will dual report into the GBS Finance Manager and the GBS Programme Team.

What we require from the candidate:

  • A qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA).
  • Well organised and competent in understanding issues and getting to the heart of a problem fast.
  • Able to work effectively globally, sensitive to language and cultural differences, develop relationships and influence people to drive outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and strategic backgrounds.
  • Corporate Finance knowledge is essential.
  • A personable, driven, effective communicator who can work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and SMEs.
