We are looking for a number of Manufacturing Engineers for a 12 month contract based in Bristol on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet\’s vital power needs. Provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities within the to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and lead-time (SQCD).
Key Accountabilities

  • HSE & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards, supporting Zero Harm goals.
  • Product Safety: Maintain process integrity to meet design and specification requirements, addressing safety concerns.
  • Quality & Process Control: Promote a zero-defect culture, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Technical Authority: Oversee manufacturing process controls, acting as a signatory where applicable.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Identify and implement advanced manufacturing processes, digital systems, and technologies.
  • Project Planning: Manage schedules, resources, and risks to meet project deadlines.
  • Process Development: Continuously improve manufacturing methods for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Standardization: Align processes with best practices in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering leaders.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work across teams, document best practices, and contribute to knowledge exchange.
  • Talent Development: Focus on self-improvement and mentorship to enhance technical expertise.
  • Supplier & Partner Engagement: Foster relationships to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Experiences and any Qualifications

  • Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or another national equivalent)
  • Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) where available
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to their business
  • General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to their role
