We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12 Month contract based in Barnoldswick on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate manufacturing methods for assigned components or parts.
- Own and drive part-specific plans focused on dimensional zero defects (DZD), yield improvement, and defect per unit (DPU) milestones.
- Provide production support by working closely with Operations to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to resolve part-specific issues at the production cell level.
- Ensure all manufacturing methods comply with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE), export, and regulatory standards.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong IT proficiency, including tools such as Microsoft Office, Minitab, and MS Project.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally with process improvement project delivery.
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies (desirable).
- Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as single crystal or directionally solidified casting is a plus.
