On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs, we are looking for an Instrument Technician for a 7 month contract based in Derby.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance repairs on production manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment.
  • Look after calibration activities including temperature, pressure, vacuum, humidity, conductivity and pH and electrical installation activities of instrumentation.
  • Interface effectively with Customers, Suppliers and Manufacturing Services Team Members to optimise the overall performance of the Precision Casting Facility.
  • Work to the Rolls-Royce Management System for control and calibration of measuring and test equipment.
  • Be part of a facility that is Rolls-Royce's largest domestic facility and home of the single crystal turbine blades.
Qualifications:
  • A recognised advanced level apprenticeship (any engineering discipline) and NVQ / SVQ level 3 / equivalent. Attach certificate with CV.
  • Experience in using a variety of electrical test / inspection equipment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • A working knowledge of / ability to interrogate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is desirable.
  • A professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
