On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs, we are looking for a number of Skilled CNC Machinists for a 12 month contract based in Inchinnan.
Role requirements for a Skilled CNC Machinist:
- Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3/SVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
- Ability to work a multi-shift pattern including nights (payment included in salary offering).
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment, in an operator role within a volume manufacturing environment, with the ability to safely achieve performance targets.
- Experience of working with Nickel and Steel and Titanium Alloys would be beneficial.
- An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings is desirable.
- A basic IT knowledge is essential.
As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you will be:
- A multi-skilled Engineer with the ability to use a range of machine tools manufacturing high quality aerospace components.
- Able to critique your own work undertaking both visually and dimensionally inspecting components.
- Loading and unloading various process equipment.
- Feeding back information to Manufacturing Engineer and team.
- Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
- Working within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high volume, target driven environment to follow processes and procedures to a standard as already defined.
