On behalf of our client, who develops cutting-edge technologies that provide reliable, responsible, and competitive solutions to meet the world's essential energy needs, we are looking for a Head of Procurement Transformation for an 18-month contract based in the Midlands. Please note this position is going to be hybrid.
This role sits within our Indirect Procurement function and is closely aligned to our operational transformation programme. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a significant change to the Indirect Procurement operating model and driving a step change in capabilities, alongside leading and embedding improvements to processes, tools, and standards that strengthen Procurement for the future. Working with key stakeholders, you will contribute to driving operational excellence and ensuring the transformation results in scalable, repeatable, and efficient ways of working that support enterprise objectives.
What you will be doing:
- Manage and evolve the Procurement operating framework strategy, processes, governance, and performance management to enable a modern, change-ready function.
- Support the development and execution of business cases, transformation roadmaps, and benefits tracking.
- Benchmark procurement capability and operations against world-class standards to identify and drive transformation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent deployment of standards, processes, and operating model changes across all divisions, driving strong governance and compliance.
- Define and deliver a future-focused capability and development framework, including training that supports new skills and ways of working.
- Build and manage the talent pipeline aligned to the future Procurement operating model.
- Drive change management and adoption across the new organisation to embed new ways of working.
- Lead internal and external communications to support Procurement transformation and embed new behaviours.
- Champion compliance with the operating model and new standards, addressing barriers and supporting sustained change.
Who we are looking for:
- A global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures, and ways of working.
- Experience of leading teams, influencing, and building relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven delivery of managing change programmes, embedding core standards, and new ways of working.
- Proven senior experience in Sourcing, Category Management, or Procurement leadership.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to or leading Procurement or functional transformation.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Procurement processes and operating models.
- Experience of working in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Confident change leader with the ability to engage, align, and motivate teams through transformation.
- Programme management skills and experience would be advantageous.
- Experience of capability building within teams would be advantageous.
