The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.\\n\\nOn behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data Analyst for a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh with remote working available.\\n\\nPurpose of the role: \\nWe are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving a data led approach to decision making. You will combine strong analytical skills with technical expertise to deliver insights, support stakeholders, and ensure data quality across platforms.\\n\\nWhat you'll do:\\n\\nApply critical thinking and problem solving abilities to support data driven strategies and business decisions.\\nCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and present findings clearly.\\nWork closely with wider analytics teams to ensure a strong understanding of data usage, dependencies, and governance.\\nDevelop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data, primarily using Snowflake, AWS, and GitLab.\\nSupport QA processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data outputs.\\nMaintain project documentation and version control to ensure transparency and reproducibility of work.\\nContribute to continuous improvement of data processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.The skills you'll need:\\n\\nProven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.\\nStrong critical thinking and problem solving skills with a data driven mindset.\\nExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights to non‑technical audiences.\\nProficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake, AWS, and GitLab.\\nSolid understanding of data usage, dependencies, and collaboration with analytics teams.\\nExperience with QA, project management practices, and version control documentation.\\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Next steps\\n\\nThis client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.\\n\\nIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.\\n\\nAMS, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business
