Purpose of the role: Lead the integration of complex gas turbine engine systems and sub-systems, ensuring safe and effective operation across the product lifecycle. Support mature civil aerospace engine programmes by translating requirements into integrated technical solutions and recommendations. Act as a key technical focal point across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring engine-level performance, compliance, and design integrity. What you'll do: Manage and coordinate requirements, ensuring successful delivery and integration at complete engine and system level. Work closely with Lifecycle Engineering, Stress Engineering, Product Development, Design Integration and Modification teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions. Perform impact assessments and evaluate the effect of design changes on engine performance, safety and lifecycle considerations. Assess technical information and engineering analyses to make evidence-based recommendations to Chief Engineers and senior stakeholders. Support design integration and modification activities throughout the product lifecycle. Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams, balancing competing requirements and resolving technical challenges. Provide technical leadership and clear communication to ensure alignment between specialist engineering disciplines. Contribute to product-level approvals, governance activities, and technical decision-making processes. The skills you'll need: Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Gas Turbine Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience working within aerospace, gas turbine, propulsion or other highly regulated engineering environments. Strong systems engineering mindset with the ability to understand how complex products and systems interact at whole-product level. Understanding of component degradation, failure mechanisms and lifecycle engineering considerations. Strong impact analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable operating at a strategic level, understanding dependencies between systems, teams and engineering disciplines.
