Job description - the role
- Manufacture components using machining processes, inspect outputs, and respond to errors in accordance with defined procedures.
- Support machine tool operations to maintain effectiveness and efficiency, including part loading/unloading, basic tool maintenance, inspection, and management of consumables.
- Maintain the working environment of the cell to the highest standards, including asset care, TPM, 5S audits, and sustainment tasks.
- Work collaboratively as part of the team, managing workflow within the cell and taking responsibility for producing quality products.
- Identify and support continuous improvement activities and uphold high standards of cell housekeeping.
The skills you’ll need:
- Experience with machining processes and quality inspection.
- Basic machine tool maintenance and support.
- Understanding of 5S, TPM, and workplace organisation.
- Problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
