Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The bank's expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Product Owner- Supply Chain Finance for an initial 12 month contract. The role can be based in London and will operate on a hybrid working model.

Purpose of the role: As a Product Owner, you will help shape and deliver the digital channel strategy within Supply Chain Finance by identifying customer needs, defining product priorities, and driving investment decisions. Working closely with business and technology teams, you will ensure digital products and services deliver an outstanding customer experience while supporting key business objectives. The role involves owning requirements, managing the product backlog, and ensuring successful delivery throughout the customer journey.

What you'll do:

  • Own and prioritise the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) product backlog, ensuring delivery aligns with customer, commercial, and strategic objectives.
  • Define and drive the digital product vision and roadmap, delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Lead the delivery of product enhancements and transformation initiatives to improve customer outcomes and business performance.
  • Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to deliver complex digital and technology solutions.
  • Gather requirements and create business process designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support Agile delivery.
  • Guide feature teams through the full product lifecycle, making decisions that maximise value, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement of the SCF proposition.

The skills you'll need:

  • Previous experience working as a Product Owner within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong Supply Chain Finance (SCF) product knowledge, including customer journeys, operational processes, and market practices.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes, ideally within SCF, Trade Finance, or working capital solutions.
  • Experience delivering technology builds, platform implementations, and digital product enhancements in an Agile environment.
  • Strong expertise in backlog management, requirements gathering, process design, and user story creation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and delivery-focused, with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for defining requirements and working closely with technology teams to support the in-house build and development of the SCF platform.
