About the role
As a People/HR Advisor, you’ll act as a trusted consultant to leaders, supporting them through change management, restructures, TUPE, and employee relations issues including absence, capability, disciplinaries and grievances. You’ll coach managers to handle sensitive situations fairly and confidently, while ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.
Alongside this, you will:

- Provide advice on recruitment and selection, occasionally supporting interviews and assessment centres
- Deliver elements of the new starter induction and support managers with probation reviews
- Build strong relationships with managers, developing your understanding of operational challenges and supporting cultural improvement
- Review people metrics to identify trends, hot spots, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Contribute to cross-organisation projects and initiatives aligned to the people strategy
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and best practice, sharing knowledge with the wider team
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all people practices
What we’re looking for
- CIPD Level 3 minimum, ideally Level 5 or studying towards
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application
- Proven experience advising across all areas of employee relations
- Ability to influence, coach and build trusted relationships with managers
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
What’s on offer
£37,310, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays and two gifted days (1 x day for your birthday and 1 x day at Christmas), ability to buy and sell holiday, 2 x volunteer days, pension (4% employee, 9% employer), core hours 9am – 5.30 pm, free parking, hybrid working (2-3 days in the office, must include a Tuesday), life assurance 3 x salary and Employee Assistance Programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in a values-led organisation. You’ll be part of a collaborative people team where you can share your expertise, develop your skills, and help shape the future of the employee journey.
