On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Events Sales Manager to lead exhibition sales and marketing activity for major international events. This role is responsible for selling stand space to UK companies, recruiting visitors, and promoting events on behalf of a major German organiser. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the sales activity and shape the marketing initiatives that support successful event delivery. The role combines commercial account management, campaign execution, and stakeholder engagement, with regular international travel, primarily to Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of exhibition sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Manage and deliver integrated marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, press activity, and telemarketing.
- Oversee customer relationships with confirmed exhibitors, ensuring excellent service and retention.
- Represent our client’s customer at competitive UK events and international exhibitions.
- Provide post-show analysis, reporting, and actionable insights to inform future campaigns.
- Collaborate with the wider team to align sales and marketing objectives.
- Undertake regular international travel, primarily to Germany.
The Person:
Our client is seeking a proactive, results-driven professional with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in international business and trade. You will be confident working across sales and marketing, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 5+ years’ experience in sales and marketing within exhibitions, trade shows, or events, preferred. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Strong ability to plan, manage, and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence to influence senior stakeholders. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The Hours: Full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months (potential to go perm)
The Location: Clevedon, South Bristol – in-person role with regular travel to Germany.
The Salary: £33-38,000
