We are delighted to be supporting a prestigious and privately owned Estate in Gloucestershire in the appointment of a Management Accountant. Set within a stunning countryside location, this is a rare opportunity to work in a distinctive setting as part of a warm, professional and close-knit team. The role is a seven month contract to cover maternity leave. This role offers both professional challenge and variety, with exposure across multiple business streams within the Estate. You will play a key role in supporting financial operations, delivering insight, and partnering with stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
The Role
- Ownership of month-end processes (journals, accruals, prepayments, recharges, fixed assets)
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts with robust commentary and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
- KPI reporting and project cost analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Preparation of quarterly reporting packs for senior leadership
- Maintaining strong relationships with budget holders, providing constructive challenge and insight
- Oversight of payroll review, credit card controls and PO processes
- VAT returns, P11Ds and partnership tax return preparation support
- Asset register management and insurance alignment
- Supporting process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
This is a hands-on role requiring both attention to detail and the confidence to operate at a strategic level.
About You
- Fully qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role
- Strong Excel capability
- Experience with ERP systems
- Exposure to VAT
