We are looking for an HR & Learning Advisor to join the People team and provide a proactive, commercially focused HR service alongside leading and delivering engaging learning and development initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied role and is particularly passionate about L&D, talent and colleague development.
The Role
- Provide proactive and professional HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across a broad range of people matters.
- Build strong relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted HR business partner and providing practical solutions.
- Coach and support managers with sickness absence, wellbeing, performance, conduct, capability and employee relations matters.
- Provide advice on recruitment, workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, reward and benefits, policies and employment legislation.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the People Strategy and wider HR initiatives.
- Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of engaging learning and development programmes that meet organisational and individual needs.
- Create innovative learning resources including workshops, toolkits, guides, digital content and development pathways.
- Identify learning and development needs and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning interventions.
- Support talent development, career progression, succession planning and future leadership development.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and organisational change initiatives.
- Take ownership of the design and continuous improvement of the colleague induction and onboarding programme.
- Work collaboratively across the wider People team to deliver a high-quality service and drive continuous improvement.
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and confidence providing practical HR advice.
- Experience working in an HR advisory or business partnering capacity.
- Experience coaching and influencing managers on employee relations and people matters.
- Experience supporting talent management and colleague development initiatives.
- Experience producing and interpreting HR management information and using data to inform decisions.
- Experience managing HR projects and supporting organisational change.
- A genuine interest in learning and development, with experience designing and/or delivering engaging learning initiatives.
- Experience creating learning materials, resources, workshops, guides or digital content would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage audiences at different levels.
- A coaching-led approach, with the ability to influence managers and stakeholders effectively.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
- A genuine commitment to inclusion, colleague development and continuous improvement.
- Creative, curious and open to new approaches to learning and people development.
